HIGHLANDS REDEVELOPMENT AREA DESIGNATION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Lopatcong and Pohatcong Townships are applying to the New Jersey Highlands Water Protection and Planning Council for a Highlands Redevelopment Area Designation for the following Property:

The applicant is proposing to construct warehouse facilities at the site of the former Phillipsburg Mall and on adjoining undeveloped lands. Two warehouse facilities would be located within the designated Highlands Redevelopment Area. One warehouse contains 833,258 square feet of floor area and would be located on Block 102, Lot 9.01, 9.03, and Block 1 Lot 1.01. A second warehouse containing 367,350 square feet of floor area would be located to the rear of the former mall on Block 102, Lot 9 in Lopatcong Township.
The Highlands Council staff has prepared a draft Consistency Determination report regarding the above-referenced project. The report and other associated information is available for public review at the Highlands Council offices, 100 North Road, Chester, NJ, or online at: https://www.nj.gov/njhighlands/projectreview/.
This application will be considered during a Highlands Council public meeting to be held at 4 p.m. on September 19, 2024 at the Highlands Council offices located at 100 North Road, Chester, NJ. During the meeting, the Highlands Council will provide opportunity for public comment on the proposed Highlands Redevelopment Area designation and, provided the Council finds that sufficient information has been made available and that it is fully prepared to do so, will consider adoption of a resolution memorializing any action taken on the application.
